ABOUT RISTA

Get Involved with RISTA!

As a member-led organization, the Rhode Island Science Teachers Association thrives because of YOU. This year, we’re excited to expand opportunities for members to get involved through standing committees.

Committees vary in size and time commitment but offer a meaningful way to shape RISTA’s work while building leadership experience.

  • Communications & Membership Committee: Supports outreach, engagement, and visibility.

  • Finance Committee: Advises on budget, cost-saving, and membership models.

  • Professional Development Committee: Plans high-quality PD opportunities for members.

  • Conference Committee: Organizes the annual RISTA Conference.

  • Elections Committee: Ensures a fair and transparent board election process.

Interested? Access more information and sign up to volunteer for a committee HERE.

We look forward to working alongside you to grow RISTA and strengthen science education in Rhode Island!
